Batangas kidnap victim found dead in Quezon

SARIAYA, Quezon – The man who was abducted in Taal, Batangas on Wednesday night was found dead along Eco-Tourism Road in Barangay Bignay 2 in this town on Thursday morning.

Town police chief Lt. Col. William Angway said the dead body of Eugene Beltran del Rosario, a resident of Lemery, Batangas was found by a passing resident lying on the road shoulder at around 6:00 a.m.

Angway said the victim bore two gunshot wounds in the head and two in the body, one in the arm and a stab wound in the body.

He said the victim’s entire head and hands were wrapped and tied by packaging tape.

It was learned that the victim was picked-up by ten unidentified armed men aboard two vehicles in a gasoline station along Bypass Road in Taal, Batangas, on Wednesday night.

The victim allegedly screamed for help while being dragged into a car by six of the suspects, but no one reacted.

The victim’s wife told police that the victim had just alighted from a Manila-bound bus when dragged by his abductors.
