Artes takes oath as new MMDA Chairman
NEWLY-APPOINTED MMDA (Metropolitan Manila Development Authority) Chairman Romando S. Artes and MMDA General Manager and concurrent Deputy Chairman Frisco S. San Juan, Jr., took their oath of office before Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez.
The ceremony was witnessed by their respective family members and employees during the agency’s flag-raising ceremony on Monday, March 7, 2022.
In their message, Artes and San Juan urged the employees to continue upholding their duties in serving the public with them at the helm.
They also expressed gratitude to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for the opportunity he had given them.
Olivarez, a member of the Metro Manila Council (MMC), the governing and policy-making body of the MMDA, congratulated the 2 officials, who will play a big role in the continuity of the projects and programs, including the implementation of COVID-19 response actions in Metro Manila, the center of the country’s economic development and progress.
