Angeles cops seize P.56M shabu
CAMP Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Three drug peddlers yielded at least P560,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust in Angeles City yesterday.
Angeles City Police director Col. Rommel Batangan identified the suspects as Ricky Cunanan, 43, of Dau, Mabalacat, Pampanga and previously arrested for drugs; female vendor Jessel Dayo, 23, of Sitio Mali Bgy. Cutcut, Angeles City; and Desseri Cirtez, 33, also a resident of Dau, Mabalacat City.
The three were arrested on Magkalinis St., Bgy. Malabanias, Angeles City by ACPDEU personnel with PS4 ACPO operatives and confiscated from them eight plastic sachets containing shabu weighing at least 80 grams valued at P544,000, P1,000 marked money and P1,000 bills boodle money. A Toyota Corolla with plate no. UAK 991 being used by the suspects in their illegal trade was impounded.
Charges for violation of Sec. 5 in relation to Sec. 26 and Sec. 11 Article II of Republic Act 9165, or “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002,” are being prepared against the suspects.
“These apprehensions have a great impact to the government’s campaign against criminality especially on illegal drugs in line with the directives of PNP chief Gen. Debold Sinas,” said Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Valeriano T. de Leon.
