Baguio artist busted for drugs
CAMP Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet — Police Regional Office-Cordillera Director PBGen. Ronald Oliver Lee yesterday said an artist was arrested during a buy-bust operation along SLU-SVP old site, Baguio City on Wednesday.
Police identified the suspect as Bertito Ilumin Ramirez, 38, of Bakakeng Norte, who is listed as a street level individual by the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) and a high value individual by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Joint operatives of Baguio cops and PDEA Cordillera arrested the suspect after selling 2 pcs. of heated-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing 2 grams with an estimated value of P13,600.
Other seized items from the suspect’s possession were 2 pcs. of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance of suspected shabu weighing 0.5 with standard drug price of P3,400; 6 pcs. one-thousand-peso bill boodle money; one android cellular phone; and one black RUSI motorcycle with plate no. 162YAQ.
The suspect is now under the custody of BCPO Stn. 10 and facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
