Tanauan suspect stabs live-in partner
POLICE are currently hunting a man who allegedly stabbed to death his live-in partner in Tanauan City, Batangas on Thursday.
Tanauan City police investigators identified the victim as Mary Grace Badilla Cortez. The suspect, who quickly fled towards the grassy portion in the back of their house after the bloody killing, was identified as Mart Anthony Guiang y Delgado.
Around 11:10 p.m. on April 29, a telephone call from the Bgy. Tarapiche official was received by the Tanauan CPS informing the police about the incident. Upon the arrival of police personnel, they discovered the lifeless body of the victim, with stab wounds in different parts of the body, in a pool of blood slumped on the floor.
During the initial investigation by the authorities, the victim was found to be talking to the suspect and a few moments later, for unknown reasons, it ended in a heated argument that caused the suspect to stab his live-in partner.
Follow up operation is ongoing for possible apprehension of the suspect. The scene of the crime operatives’ assistance was requested for a technical investigation. They recovered one kitchen knife with bloodstain at the scene.
