A SERIES of anti-narcotics operations in Metro Manila on Tuesday resulted in the arrest of 35 top drug targets and the seizure of some P2.9 million worth of shabu, National Capital Region Police Office director Brigadier General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said yesterday.

The official particularly commended members of the Manila Police District Station 14 under Brig. Gen. Andre P. Dizon for arresting two ‘high-value targets’ in the city identified as Fatima Enriquez, 24; and Darrel Orbe, 46.

He said that recovered from the duo were an estimated 222 grams of shabu valued at P1.510 million and the buy-bust money.

Brig. Gen. Nartatez said that on the same day, different NCRPO units accounted for 33 other known drug personalities following their conduct of Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations or the so-called ‘One-Time, Big-Time’ anti-crime drive.

Confiscated from the suspects were nearly 242 grams of shabu worth P1.4 million and other pieces of evidence including the marked money paid to them by undercover officers.

All arrested suspects were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
