1 killed, 2 hurt as dump truck plows into vehicles, sari-sari store

A TRICYCLE driver yesterday was killed while two others were injured when a wayward truck plowed into several vehicles and crashed into a sari-sari store in Antipolo City, Rizal.

Charly Dave Dapapac , a 22-year-old tricycle driver residing in Sitio Tagbac, Bgy. San Jose, Antipolo City, was declared dead on arrival at the hospital from severe head and body injuries.

The injured were Rosita Alsonado, 67, of Blk. 8, L17, Villa Consolation Subd. Bgy. San Jose; and porter Arnold Garavador, 26, of Lugawan Catmon, Sta. Maria Bulacan .

The 12 -wheeler truck driven by Romeo Gacho of Pulong Buhangin, Sta. Maria, Bulacan was traversing the provincial road at Sitio Junction in Bgy. San Jose, Antipolo City on way to Cemex when the driver lost control of the vehicle at 8 a.m. yesterday.

The truck plowed into a sports utility vehicle, an Isuzu Hi-lander, a wagon car, a Yamaha Mio and a tricycle before crashing into a sari-sari store at Sitio Tagbac.

An investigation is ongoing.
