JEAN Wenceslao of Batch 89 was crowned as Ms. ERJHS Alumni Sportsfest 2023.

The selection of Wencesalo was made during the formal opening of the month-long competition organized by the ERJHS Alumni Sports Club at the Barangay N.S.Amoranto covered court in Malaya St., Quezon City.

Wenceslao was the top choice of the panel of judges that included former Quezon City councilor Mayen Juico, F2 Logistics volleyball stars Ivy Lacsina and C.J. Woo, NorthPort Batang Pier coach Bonnie Tan, ERJHS Alumni Association president Jess Asistin and Alumni Sports Club president Ed Andaya.

Wesceslao won over fellow muses Lilybeth Salazar of Batch 81, Lizette Mariano of Batch 93, Alelie Francisco Vismonte of Batch 94, Rozel Aves of Batch 96 and Jennelyn Bautista of Batch 2000.

ERJHS Alumni Sports Club vice president Imee Gines awarded the trophies and prizes to Wensceslao, assisted by Barangay N. S. Amoranto chairman Ato de Guzman and Paang Bundok chairman Lawrence Tiglao.

Meanwhule, Jeff Caguisa scored 27 points as Team 2000 defeated Team 80s, 71-67, to lead opening-day winners in the basketball competitions.

Also winning their matches were Batch 93, which outplayed Batch 89, 58-45, and Batch 96, which subdued Batch 94, 52-48.

In volleyball, Team 80s defeated Batch 94, 27-25, 25-23 and Batch 96, 25-14, 25-17.

Batch 94 won over Batch 96, 16-25, 25-15, 15-9..
