THE Laguna Provincial Police Office (LPPO) on Thursday arrested 14 “most wanted persons” (MWPs) with different cases in the whole province of Laguna during the “Warrant Day” operation of Laguna PNP.

A report submitted by LPPO Officer-in-Charge (OIC), Police Colonel Randy Glenn G. Silvio to Calabarzon (Cavite/Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon) Regional Police Brigadier General Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr., the successful operation is part of the gathered information and support by the community and Barangay Intelligence Network (BIN) in different barangays in Laguna.

The 14 police operations armed with warrants of arrest captured two MWPS at the regional level, six for the top ten city/municipal level, and six others.

Silvio said that the arrested regional-level MWP was from Bgy. Bayog, Los Baños, Laguna.

The accused was arrested by Los Baños Police and members of Regional Special Operations Unit 4A, in a joint manhunt operation by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Acting Presiding Judge Ave A. Zurbito-Alba, Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 8, Calamba, Laguna dated September 6, 2022 for the case of lasciviousness conduct under Section 5 (B) of Republic Act (RA) 7610 with P200,000 bail each.

Calauan Police, Regional Intelligence Unit-4A, Laguna Provincial Intelligence Team, and authorities collared a foodpanda rider based on a warrant arrest issued by Presiding Judge Alba, RTC Br. 8 for statutory rape, acts of lasciviousness, and rape by sexual assault (no bail) but with a penalized P180,000 recommended bail for other cases.
