Wall collapses, crushes kid to death
A 5-YEAR-OLD boy on Thursday died after a wall of a house collapsed and hit him directly in Iloilo.
Police identified the victim as Christian Aguilar Sorongon, a resident of Bgy. Poblacion Ilaya, Passi City, Iloilo.
Two others were injured. They were identified as Shaina Mae Panila, 19, and Joland Sampiano, 23,
Passi City Mayor Stephen Palmares said it rained all day in the city.
The mayor said the continuous downpour brought by a low pressure area possibly caused the softening of the ground on which the wall was built, causing it to collapse.
It was learned that the victim’s house was located below the house, which wall gave way.
Rescuers pulled out the victims from under the rubble and rushed them to the hospital, where the kid was declared dead on arrival from severe head injuries.
