Vivamax adds two new daring actresses
“LOVELY Ladies Dormitory”, the new mini-series on Vivamax that started streaming last Sunday, introduces two new sex sirens: Yen Durano and Julia Victoria. Yen is the daughter of actor DJ Durano and her mom is chef Rain Cancio.
In the series, she plays Jackielyn, a young woman who is ready to take on all the challenges that life has to offer. In real life, Yen openly admits that she can do it with both men and women.
“Tatlong taon din po akong nakipagrelasyon sa isang tomboy,” she says. “No regrets kasi maganda naman ang naging samahan namin. But as of now, tama na muna ang girl to girl kasi I realized I prefer boys talaga.”
She says she enjoyed doing “Lovely Ladies Dormitory” with her co-stars Andrea Garcia, Hershie de Leon, Tiffany Grey and Julia Victoria, also Alma Moreno who played the owner of the dorm.
“Maganda po ang naging samahan naming lahat habang nasa lock in taping kami,” she says. “Mga baguhan kaming lahat at inalagaan talaga kami ng director naming si Mervyn Brondial to make sure na lalabas na maayos ang acting namin kasi marami kaming dramatic scenes sa show. Wala pong anumang sapawan o patalbugang nangyari sa amin during the taping. Pantay-pantay ang roles at exposures naming lima.”
Who among the five girls attracts her as a girl crush? “Siguro po si Julia Victoria kasi mabait siya at maraming good qualities.”
Julia plays the role of Stella in the story. “Tapos na po ako ng nursing and I’m staying sa dorm kasi nagre-review po ako para nursing board exams,” she says. “Ang dream po ni Stella is to get her license at mag-apply para makapagtrabaho sa abroad. Mukha po akong mahiyain dito, pero nasa loob pala ang kulo. The show portrays the lives of girls living together in the same dorm na magkakaiba ang ugali at mga prinsipyo sa buhay. I’m sure marami pong makaka-relate na kabataan dito.”
Does she have any limitations in doing sexy scenes? “Wala naman po. Nang pasukin ko ito, hinanda ko ang loob ko. Ayokong pagdating sa shoot, doon pa ako mag-inarte. Willing ako magpa-sexy basta may plaster. Gusto ko lang, bago magsimula ang shooting, alam ko na yung buong character ko at ang story para malaman ko kung saan ko kukunin ‘yung acting para mai-deliver ko nang tama ang role ko sa harap ng camera.”
