MORE than P.3 million worth of illegal drugs was seized by authorities from a “high-value individual” (HVI) drug suspect during a buy-bust operation Friday evening in Taguig City.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Kirby John Kraft said the suspect with the alias “Vincent,” 37, of Bgy. Central was included in the list of police and barangay drug watchlist.

Kraft said operatives of the Taguig Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) conducted a drug sting operation against the HVI following a week-long surveillance and monitoring operation conducted by joint elements of the Station Intelligence Unit and SDEU.

The suspect was collared after he handed a plastic sachet of shabu to a poseur-buyer in exchange for P500 marked money, resulting in his arrest.

Lawmen recovered from “Vincent” nine plastic sachets of shabu weighing 50.65 grams valued at P344,420 and the marked money.

The suspect is presently detained at Taguig City Custodial Facility pending the filing of charges for violation of RA (Republic Act) 9165 or Anti-Drugs Law.
