STL employee dies in Batangas road crash
A SMALL Town Lottery (STL) employee died after a collision with another vehicle in Barangay Antipolo, Sta. Teresita, Batangas, the other day.
Sta. Teresita Municipal Police Station (MPS) investigators PMSg. Rhuel Malibiran and P/Cpl. John Jellicoe Benamer said the fatality was a 42-year-old widow and a resident of Bgy. Balete, San Nicolas town.
The suspect is a resident of Bgy. Calangay, this municipality and drove a Ford Everest.
Initial investigation showed that the victim was on her way to work and was driving a Honda motorcycle traversing towards Sta. Teresita-Bauan town’s direction.
The victim was about to cross on the left side of the road and stopped, waiting to clear the traffic before turning left, when suddenly a silver Ford Everest was coming fast going to Bauan, Batangas direction.
Due to the heavy rain and reduced visibility, the driver of the Ford Everest did not notice the motorcycle and hit the rear portion causing it to crash into another car, a Mitsubishi Lancer sedan.
