NAGPAHAYAG ng kanyang pakikiramay si Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez sa pamilya, kaibigan, at constituents ni Palawan 1st District Rep. Edgardo “Egay” Salvame.

“It is a personal loss for me and a huge loss for our community and the nation,” ani Speaker Romualdez, lider ng Kamara na mayroong mahigit 300 miyembro. “Cong. Egay was far more than just a fellow lawmaker; he was a true advocate for Palawan, a devoted public servant whose compassion and dedication resonated deeply with those he represented. His commitment, integrity, and ceaseless effort to advocate for his constituents have profoundly impacted all of us fortunate enough to have known and worked with him,” sabi ni Romualdez.

Sinabi ni Speaker Romualdez na si Salvame ay hindi lamang simpleng kasama sa trabaho kundi isang pinagkakatiwalaang katuwang na nagsilbing inspirasyon sa pagseserbisyo sa bayan.

“To Cong. Egay’s family, friends, and the people of Palawan, my heart reaches out to you. During this challenging time, I hope you find solace in the vast respect, admiration, and affection Cong. Egay garnered. His life was a testament to purpose and service, devoted to the betterment of others,” wika pa ni Speaker Romualdez.

Sa gitna ng pagdadalamhati, hinimok ni Speaker Romualdez ang bawat isa na kilalanin ang mga nagawa at naging kontribusyon ni Salvame sa bansa.

“In remembering him, let us commit to continuing the work he was so passionate about, embracing the values he championed. Cong. Egay’s memory and ideals will continue to guide us, pushing us towards the future he imagined—one filled with optimism, integrity, and a relentless dedication to public service,” dagdag pa nito.
