SK kagawad slain in front of friend in Samar
A 25-YEAR-OLD member of the Sangguniang Kabataan on Tuesday was shot dead in Calbayog City, Samar.
Killed was Gerald Casaljay, a kagawad in Bgy. Migara in Calbayog City.
The victim was walking on way home, along with a friend, when approached by a man armed with a gun in Bgy. Osmeña.
The suspect shot Casaljay in the chest and face before fleeing.
Casaljay died on the spot. His friend was left unharmed.
Responding lawmen recovered at the crime scene two empty cartridge cases from a cal..45 gun.
Police are pursuing the gunman and investigating the motive for the killing.
