SABUNGEROS yesterday countered that they are better compared to the New Peoples’ Army terrorists who are reportedly allies of trailing presidential bet Leni Robredo, who earlied called for the closure of e-sabong or online sabong (cockfight) operations in the country.

A game farm owner in Indang, Cavite chided Robredo, adding that she should focus on stopping the proliferation of drugs and illegal numbers game in her province.

Hundreds of thousands of sabungeros said that Robredo would not get a vote from them and their families.

The cockfighters said that if the online cockfighting is completely shut down, thousands of cockpit workers across the country will lose their jobs which is equivalent to thousands more of their family members will go hungry and even their children will not be able to study.

Ka Korning, a caretaker of a farm in Alitagtag, Batangas, said.

Mang Julian, a cockfigter from Pandi, Bulacan, said that it is good to hear what Robredo is saying in shutting down sabong online, but that is if there are alternative jobs for the hundreds of thousands of breeders in the Philippines.

Puro ka wento, wala namang wenta,” he added.

The sabungeros even challenged Robredo that if she really loves the Filipino people, her priority will be the NPA terrorists who pose a big security threat.

Many are now wondering why Robredo, after President Duterte and Senator Ping Lacson revealed her alliance with the communist terrorists, has not issued a clear statement to deny it and instead many more legal terrorist fronts are involved and are present in her concert rallies.

Meanwhile, sabungeros, cockpit workers, and employees of online sabong operations have threatened to cancel Robredo after she called for the closure of online sabong operations at the “Kandidatalks” presidentiables series.

Stakeholders were aggrieved when she said e-sabong operations should immediately stop because it harms Filipino families.

“Masyado siyang nagmamalinis!

Me ipapakain ba siya?” Mang Kanor, a resident of Indang, Cavite, said for his part.

“Palibhasa, sanay siyang mandaya noon pang 2016.

Aside from adding billions in taxes to government coffers, online sabong has also provided employment.
