INAPRUBAHAN ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang panukalang Basic Education Development Plan (BEDP) 2030 at MATATAG agenda ng Department of Education (DepEd).

Sa National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Board meeting sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang, hindi tinutulan ni Pangulong Marcos ang panukala dahil binibigyang halaga ng administrasyon ang education system sa bansa.

“The [NEDA] board approves the adoption of the Basic Education Development Plan 2023 and MATATAG Agenda as a national policy and plan for basic education,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.

Laman ng MATATAG Agenda ang apat na critical components: “MAking the curriculum relevant; TAking steps to accelerate the delivery of basic education facilities and services; TAking good care of learners by promoting learner well-being, inclusive education and a positive learning environment; and Giving support to teachers to be able to teach better.

Nakaangkla ang DepEd BEDP 2030 at MATATAG Agenda sa United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. 4 sa pagbibigay ng edukasyon.

Nagkasunod rin ito sa AmBisyon Natin 20240 at Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028 ng NEDA.
