CITING its message of unity, the Nacionalista Party (NP) led by its party president and chairman of the national directorate Manny Villar on Tuesday officially announced its endorsment of the presidential and vice presidential tandem of former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
Marcos and Duterte have secured the full-backing of NP, the political party of Villar’s son, UniTeam senatorial candidate Mark Villar.
“For the May 2022 elections, the Nacionalista Party fully supports the candidacies of Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. for president and Sara Duterte for Vice President,” Manny Villar said about NP’s, the country’s oldest political party, support to BBM-Sara tandem.
Manny Villar said Marcos and Duterte’s message of unity can bring the country to progress following the devastating effects of corona virus disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic.
“We believe that Bongbong and Inday Sara’s message of unity is crucial in binding our country together and inspiring our people as we rebuild not only from the pandemic but also from the political chasm that divides us,” Manny Villar said.
“They both have the platforms of government, qualifications and track record to lead our country towards unity and prosperity,” he added.
Marcos is the standard-bearer of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) while Duterte is running under the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD).
