A ROOKIE policeman is now facing two counts of grave threats after he allegedly threatened a nurse and a security guard of Valenzeula City Emergency Hospital Sunday in Valenzuela City.

Pat. Angelo Abalos, 37, was held by personnel of Valenzuela Police Sub-Station 6 led by P/Lt. Armando Delima at around 10 a.m. when security guard Gilbert Belmonte at nurse Simon De Galicia of Valenzuela Emergency Hospital sought police and barangay assistance after the rookie cop allegedly threatened to shoot them if only he was holding his gun.

Investigation showed that at around 1 a.m. on Sunday, Pat. Mendoza was rushed by his wife Maria Concepcion to the said hospital after suffering from high blood pressure.

The cop, who was conscious at the time, was ordered by hospital guard to proceed to Triage Area, an area in the hospital where out-patients were taken to determine which ones are the most seriously ill and must be treated first.

Police said this angered Pat. Abalos who already introduced himself as policeman and uttered a word “Kung hawak ko lang ang baril ko, binaril ko na kayo,” then went straight at the emergency room of the hospital and allegedly threatened the nurse.

When barangay officials and policemen responded to the area, they failed to arrest Pat. Abalos since he was already being treated at the hospital’s premises.

Only at around 10 a.m. when Lt. Delima and his men were able to hold Pat. Abalos and was reportedly transferred to Station Investigation Unit for proper disposition.
