Robbers loot LBC Express, Alfamart in Nueva Ecija

GAPAN CITY – Robbers looted a local branch of LBC Express Inc. in this city and an Alfamart convenience store in Zaragosa, fleeing with at least P25,000 in cash from their victims.

In this city, Police head Lt. Col. Edelmar Alviar said his office received a phone call that the LBC Express branch in Bgy. San Vicente was being robbed by a lone suspect at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday.

Alviar said the unidentified suspect clad in black/orange helmet, blue sweat shirt with printed name FOX, black pants, white Adidas slippers, and blue backpack, entered the firm and poked a gun at its two cashiers, identified as Edmarie Gamalo, 31, of Bgy. Sto Nino, and John Elison Cruz, 22, of Bgy. Mangino, before declaring a heist.

The suspect then carted away all the money worth P20,000 from the cashier’s booth and fled.

In Zaragosa, robbed was the Alfamart branch located in Bgy. Carmen at 3:19 p.m., a police report from the Nueva Ecija police provincial office said.

NEPPO chief Col. Pedro O. Santos said the unidentified thief ran off with P4,909.

Investigation showed the suspect, who was wearing a bonnet with eyeglasses approached the two cashiers identified as Jade Aurelio, 25, and Dennis Alfanta, 31, poked a gun at them and told them to open the cash register.

The suspect fled with the stolen money on board a Yamaha NMAX motorcycle towards nearby Sta. Rosa town.
