Man killed by speeding bus while crossing hi-way
A MAN was killed by a speeding passenger bus while crossing Maharlika Highway Monday in Bgy. San Pablo, Sto Tomas City, Batangas.
Sto Tomas City Police Station Police chief Lt. Col Armie S. Agbuya identified the fatality as Angel Manipol.
Initial investigation showed the victim was seen crossing Maharlika highway at around 6:40 a.m. when he was accidentally hit by a rushing Daewoo Bus (NBB1468) driven by Joseph Revelleza that was heading towards Sto Tomas City.
Manipol was declared dead on arrival at the hospital by attending physician Dr. Henrick Leynes.
Meanwhile, Agbuya said a suspected drug peddler identified as John Carlo Bantog was nabbed at 6:45 p.m. on !ay 21 in a drug buy-bust in Bgy. Poblacion 4, Sto Tomas City.
Police confiscated three plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, the P500 buy-bust money and a Norinco cal. 9mm pistol without serial number with inserted magazine loaded with three live ammo.
