‘Rapist’ pa commits suicide
A MAN accused of raping his own daughter yesterday committed suicide by hanging in their home in Isabela.
Maconaco Police Station deputy chief of police Lt. Rodolfo Martin identified the suspect only in his alias as “Rudy,” a resident of the town.
Martin said 13-year-old “Liza,” not her real name, and her mother went to the police station to file a rape complaint against the suspect.
The alleged sexual molestation started when the victim was a Grade 3 elementary school student.
According to the victim, she was again raped when she was in Grade 5 and the last molestation occurred on September 29 this year.
Liza said her father took advantage of her everytime she was alone in the house.
“Ang sabi raw ng tatay ay may mangyayaring masama sa kanilang mag-ina kapag siya ay nagsumbong,” a prober said.
When the mother and her daughter returned home from the police station, they were shocked to see “Rudy” hanging from the ceiling.
