QCPD nabs 41 in intensified anti-crime ops

THE Quezon City Police District (QCPD) rounded up 41 suspects in its latest anti-drug and anti-criminality operations conducted by different units and police stations.

In the campaign against illegal drugs, 19 suspects were arrested, which resulted in the confiscation of P78,000 worth of marijuana and P38,100 worth of shabu by the following police stations.

Project 6 Police Station (PS 15) under P/Lt. Col. Norman Florentino arrested two drug suspects in a buy-bust operation, including one who is listed as a “regional priority target” in Abra Lagoon, Bgy. Ramon Magsaysay, QC, Sept. 22, 2022.

Confiscated were more or less 650 grams of marijuana valued at P78,000 and the marked money.

A total of 17 drug suspects were arrested by elements of La Loma Police Station (PS 1), Novaliches Police Station (PS 4), Masambong Police Station (PS 2), Batasan Police Station (PS 6), Kamuning Police Station (PS 10), Eastwood Police Station (PS 12), and Payatas Bagong Silangan (PS 13) Police Station.

Ten “most wanted persons” (MWPs) were arrested, including the no. 4 MWP of the Holy Spirit Police Station (14).

Meanwhile, District Anti-Carnapping Unit (DACU) under P/Lt. Col. Melgar Devaras arrested one MWP; District Special Operations Unit (DSOU), under P/Lt. Col. Rolando Lorenzo Jr. arrested two MWPs; PS 4 arrested two; PS 6 arrested one; Project 4 Police Station (PS 8) under P/Lt. Col. Leoben T. Ong, together with joint operatives of PNP DEG SOU 1, arrested two; and PS 13 arrested one.

Fifteen persons were also arrested in anti-illegal gambling operations.

Appropriate charges will be filed against the arrested suspects, while the courts of origin will be notified of the arrest of the MWPs.
