PRO3 nabs 980 felons, P6M illegal drugs seized

CABANATUAN CITY – The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) headed by Brig. Gen. Matthew P. Baccay reported that a week-long simultaneous anti-criminality law enforcement operations (SACLEO) in Central Luzon resulted in the arrest of about 980 individuals and the seizure of illegal drugs worth about P6.4 million.

The successful operations were conducted from January 24 until January 30, said Baccay.

Of the 980 arrests, 280 persons have standing warrants of arrest, 66 of whom are most wanted with warrants ranging from murder, rape, and frustrated homicide, 326 were nabbed for illegal drugs, and 346 were accosted for illegal gambling while 28 individuals were apprehended for violation of special laws.

A total of 791 plastic sachets of shabu weighing 25,515.94 grams with Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P3,323,946.08, 155 sachets of marijuana weighing 333.57 grams with DDB value amounting to P3,056,352 were seized along with the confiscation of bet money amounting to P97,533.

“Our strings of operations are in line with the guidelines of PNP Chief Gen. Dionardo B. Carlos to intensify, reinvigorate and focus on the anti-criminality drive efforts of the PNP,” said Brig. Gen. Baccay.
