PRO3 director visits injured Bacolor police chief

CAMP Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon on Saturday visited injured Bacolor police commander Maj. German Pascua in the hospital to personally check his condition and hand him financial assistance.

De Leon lauded Pascua’s exemplary performance while trying to arrest a theft suspect identified as Daniel Mercado y Patawaran, 49, of 142 Cherry St., Greenland Executive Village, San Juan, Cainta, Rizal, in Mexico, Pampanga on Saturday.

Mercado has four warrants of arrest for robbery and malicious mischief in Olongapo City and theft in Tarlac City and Cainta, Rizal.

Authorities seized from Mercado three tablets, an Apple wrist watch, three cellphones, BDO savings passbook, a wrist watch, a power bank, two branded duffle bags, a Louis Vuitton wallet, a non-PDL under the name of Lingat Calarin, a Resorts World ID under the name of Michael Angelo Simbulan, a home quarantine pass under the name of Daniel P. Mercado, a PNB credit card under the name of Luzaida S. Linda, a CitiBank debit card under the name of Linda Luzaida, three Easytrip cards, assorted ID under the name of Daniel P. Mercado, P360 cash, assorted money in different currencies and a unit of Toyota HiAce GL.

“I encourage all other victims and owners of these recovered items to come out and file charges against the suspect. We also appeal to the public that if they have information on the whereabouts of the suspect, kindly report to the nearest police station so that we can arrest him and face the crimes he has committed,” De Leon said.
