Poultry boy doesn’t chicken out, shoots boss in Batangas

A POULTRY worker shot his boss during an altercation that sparkes Sunday when the suspect left his work without the victim’s permission in Cuenca, Batangas.

Case officer P/SSg. Jayson D. Tiu identified the victim as Jeffrey Mendoza, 36, married, poultry owner.

Police are now hunting the suspect who was identified as Willy Esperanza, of legal age, married, both of Bgy. Balagtasin, San Jose.

A report said a telephone call was received by the Cuenca MPS at around 8:45 a.m. of August 29 informing that there was a shooting incident in Bgy. Labac.

Tiu’s initial investigation showed that Mendoza allegedly chased the suspect for leaving without his permission at 8:45 a.m.
Mendoza cornered and confronted Esperanza at the boundary of Bgy. Sabang, San Jose and in Bgy. Labac, Cuenca.

Police gathered that the suspect got angry and shot Mendoza repeatedly with a cal. 38 revolver.

The victim sustained two gunshot wounds in the body and was rushed to Metro San Jose Medical Center for medical treatment while the suspect fled together with his children on board his motorcycle.
