THREE major anti-narcotics operations conducted by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency this week resulted in the arrest of six drug targets and seizure of P15.8 million worth of shabu, PDEA chair Director General Moro Virgilio Lazo said on Friday.

One of the suspects, identified as 29-year old Salahudin Amatonding, was arrested in a buy-bust in front of a hotel located along Gugu Highway in Bacolor, Pampanga at around 7:55 p.m. last Thursday.

Recovered from the suspect were a bag with a kilo of shabu valued at P6.8 million and the buy-bust money.

PDEA agents also seized a maroon Toyota Vios (NFU 3811) as well as the mobile phone he used in his transactions.

Another sting at the Cloverleaf Mall in Balintawak, Quezon City past 12:00 noon Thursday led in the arrest of Arnold Zaragosa, and Ansano Macapantad, 28, after the two conspired to sell shabu to an undercover agent of the PDEA Special Enforcement Service.

Recovered from the suspects were two vacuum-sealed plastic each containing a kilo of shabu and the buy-bust money. The recovered drugs were valued at P13.6 million.

The three other suspects, Asher Guiani, 32; his brother Aridez, 29; and Kudandin Almajid, were arrested at the SM Bicutan basement parking area in Don Bosco, Parañaque City around 12:20 p.m. last Wednesday.

The operation led to the recovery of 500 grams of shabu worth P3.4 million and the buy-bust money.

Members of the PDEA Eastern District Office, in coordination with the Don Bosco Police Sub-Station, recovered six sachets containing the drugs from the suspects.

A black Hyundai Accent (AQQ 2908) used by the trio to transport the drugs was impounded by the PDEA.
