NPD nabs notorious drug ‘pusher’ for P136K shabu
A NOTORIOUS drug pusher considered by the police as a “high-value target” was arrested in a drug sting operation Friday evening in Valenzuela City.
Northern Police District (NPD) Director P/BGen. Jose Santiago Hidalgo, Jr. said Valenzuela Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) seized P136,000.00 worth of illegal drugs from Jocris Bencion, 33, of Kabuhayan St. Purok 4, Bgy. Mapulang Lupa, Valenzuela City following his arrest in a buy-bust operation.
Bencion was arrested after he sold a small plastic sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer worth P30,000 at around 11:20 p.m. along Caimito St., Bgy. Bagbaguin.
The suspect was the target of more than a week of surveillance and monitoring operation by elements of SDEU after his name was frequently mentioned of those who were previously arrested in a buy-bust operation.
During the search, operatives seized from the suspect around 20 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of P136,000, one cellular phone, and the marked money consisting of genuine P500 plus 15 pcs. of P500, and 22 pcs. of P1,000 of boodle money.
The suspect was presented for inquest proceedings before the Valenzuela City Prosecutor’s Office for a case of selling and possession of illegal drugs while the confiscated drugs were submitted to NPD Crime Laboratory for chemical analysis.
