Navotas gets COA’s highest mark again
THE City Government of Navotas once again received the highest audit rating from the Commission on Audit (COA).
The agency’s 2021 audit report showed that Navotas secured an “unmodified opinion” for the seventh consecutive year.
Cong. Toby Tiangco and Mayor John Rey Tiangco Monday received the COA report from Percival Arlos, OIC-Supervising Auditor of the Navotas Auditing Unit.
Tiangco thanked and lauded all departments of the city government for their genuine service to Navoteños.
“Patunay po ito ng maayos at tapat na paggamit natin ng pondo ng bayan,” he said, adding that the city government, under the helm of his brother John Rey, will continue its brand of prudent spending and honest use of public funds.
COA gives an “unmodified opinion” to a government office or agency that has presented its financial position, financial performance, and cash flows in a fair manner and in accordance with the International Public Sector Accounting Standards.
