MWP for ‘rape’ falls in Batangas

CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Central Luzon top cop Brigadier General Cesar Pasiwen on Wednesday lauded the operating teams for the successful arrest of one of the country’s “most wanted persons” (MWPs) in Batangas.

Joint units of the Provincial Intelligence Unit-Nueva Ecija together with RIU4A, Sto. Tomas, Batangas, and Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija police, under the overall supervision of Lt. Col. Aldwin Sitchon, conducted the manhunt operation in Barangay San Antonio, Sto.Tomas City, Batangas, which led to the arrest of the suspect with warrants of arrest for rape and sexual assault.

The suspect is listed in the DILG’s (Department of the Interior and Local Government) national MWP with a P130,000 reward on his head as the main suspect in the rape of a woman in Bgy. Bakod Bayan, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.

“This only goes to show that our joint intelligence efforts, as well as our continuously intensified campaign to put lawless elements and wanted persons behind bars, have paid off, and more accomplishments are underway,” said Pasiwen.
