Manila City Prosecutor’s Office feted
MANILA Mayor Maria Sheilah “Honey” Lacuna-Pangan extended her greetings to the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office after being awarded as one of the Outstanding City Prosecutor’s Office in Metro Manila.
”Unang-una, gusto ko pong i-congratulate ang City Prosecutor’s Office sa pagkilala sa kanila bilang isa sa magagaling na City Prosecutor’s Office sa buong Metro Manila. Isa lang po ang ibig sabihin niyan, na naipapatupad nila ang iginawad sa kanilang tungkulin na inaasahan sa kanila, hindi lamang ng Manilenyo, kundi ng iba pa pong nagkakaroon ng kaso dito sa ating lungsod,” Mayor Honey Lacuna said during the regular flag raising ceremony yesterday at the Kartilya ng Katipunan.
The mayor said one of the criteria for being recognized as an Outstanding City Prosecutor’s Office was the speedy resolution of cases being filed in their office.
Mayor Honey Lacuna said she was able to witness the speedy action of the City Prosecutors and their employees on cases filed before them which caused them to receive the corresponding award.
Earlier, Deputy Chief Prosecutor Venus D. Marzan proudly mentioned the award they received as one of the Outstanding City Prosecutors Office in the National Capital Region (NCR).
She said they strictly enforce monitoring of all the cases filed before their office to ensure that all of them will be resolved immediately.
She also expressed her gratitude to the office of Mayor Honey Lacuna, Vice Mayor Yul Servo Nieto, and other officials of the city government for the support they receive which includes giving necessary equipment they needed such as computers, approving the promotion of their employees and appointment of new employees.
