BATANGAS Gov. Dodo Mandanas has assured that the provincial government will leave no stone unturned to make the province recover from recent Taal eruption and the pandemic.

Mandanas said the local government will use the imminent increased funds with the implementation of the Mandanas Ruling in 2022 to help the sick and the hungry.

In collaboration with the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, Mandanas said the distribution of multi-purpose vans and vessels for the island in some barangays will begin soon. Computers will also be provided to all barangays, which will help install free internet here.

As the budget for personal service also grows, the governor said that casual employees will be given item positions or become regulars, in response to the issue of “endo” or short-term employment with only a short-term contract.

Meanwhile, the governor will also propose to double the daily rate of job order staff in the capitol.

Mandanas sakd the allocation of additional funds for the educational assistance program and increase in the allowance of barangay volunteer workers have been set.

“The focus of the livelihood program is on the construction of a food port and food terminal that will open up many jobs, and the ongoing engagement with agricultural agencies for the further strengthening of projects and activities in agriculture and the livestock industry,” added Mandanas.
