Man held for threatening son-in-law with gun
POLICE arrested a 59-year-old man who allegedly poked a gun and threatened his son-in-law Monday evening in Taguig City.
Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen, Jimili Macaraeg said the arrest of Josefino Angeles,of Block 31, Lot 4B Lanao Del Sur St.,Brgy. Maharlika, was based on the complaint of his son-in-law John Jerson Bibon, 22, who sought police assistance after he was allegedly threatened with a gun by his father-in-law.
Elements of Taguig Sub-Station 7 immediately acted on the complaint and proceeded to the house of Angeles past 6 p.m. resulting in his arrest and recovery of his firearm, a caliber .38 revolver, with five live ammunition in its chamber.
The suspect was turned over by operatives of Sub-Station 7 to Station Investigation and Detective Management Section (SIDMS) for booking and proper disposition.
“I commend Taguig City Police for their prompt action which led to the arrest of the suspect, with your swift act the public can be assured of our commitment of ensuring their safety and security”, BGen. Macaraeg said.
