Man hangs self in Malabon
A 39-year-old welder who was suffering from depression committed suicide by hanging himself at the stairs of his home Thursday in Malabon City.
The body of Mark Anthony Adap was discovered at around 6:45 a.m. by his wife Arlene, 33, hanging on the stairs of their house at 143 University Avenue, Bgy. Potrero with a belt tied around his neck.
Arlene immediately sought the help of his brother-in-law Julius Cesar who helped her in rushing the victim to Valenzuela General Hospital where he was declared dead upon arrival.
Malabon police chief P/Col. Albert Barot said the victim’s wife averred that her husband was suffering from depression, and she even advised him to consult a psychiatrist for medical assistance, but Mark Anthony refused.
Case investigator P/SSgt. Michael Oben said the victim’s immediate family refused the conduct of autopsy examination on the body of the deceased and executed a waiver for investigation since they believed that no foul play has been committed on the death of Mark Anthony.
