Man collared for ‘raping’ victim after drinking spree
A 21-YEAR-OLD man was arrested while his cohort remains at large for reportedly raping a woman after a drinking spree in Quezon City.
Police Lieutenant Col. Leoben Ong, station commander of the Project 4 Police Station (PS 8), said the suspects, were a 21-year-old man (at large), a resident of Bgy. Quirino 3-A, Project 3, QC, and another 20-year-old, of Bgy. Milagrosa, Project 4, in the same city.
Based on the initial investigation, on March 17, 2023 at around 9:30 p.m., the victim, 21, was invited by her female friend, a sister of one of the suspects, for a drinking session at their house together with the other suspect.
At 1 a.m. of March 18, the victim and her friend were allegedly both drunk. The victim decided to sleep with her friend.
In that instance, one of the suspects (at large) started touching the victim’s breast. The victim tried to stop the suspect but to no avail.
Moments later, the two suspects carried the victim to another room and “raped” her.
The victim left the house without informing her friend regarding the incident.
She then sought assistance from PS 8 for the investigation and proper disposition of the incident and filing of the appropriate case against the suspects.
The PS 8 operatives conducted a follow-up operation which resulted in the arrest of one of the suspects, while a continuous manhunt operation is ongoing for the other suspect.
