Laborer stabbed dead in Navotas
A 24-YEAR-OLD construction worker was stabbed dead by a still unidentified suspect following his visit to a friend Friday evening in Navotas City.
Navotas Police Homicide Investigator P/SSgt. Levi Salazar said Rex Tornea, of Socialized Housing, Tanza-2, was rushed by his relative to Navotas City Hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment for stab wounds.
Investigation showed that earlier, at around 11:45 p.m., Erlinda Morales, 67, a relative of the victim, was already sleeping when she heard Tornea shouting for help while knocking on her door.
When she opened the door, she was surprised to see the victim in a pool of blood, asking her to bring him to the hospital.
Police learned that before the stabbing incident, the victim visited a friend inside the Pumping Station located at Pabahay, Tanza-2, before he was seen fleeing from the area with visible stab wounds in the body.
