Isko vows to build another ‘heart center’
ASIDE from a cancer hospital, Aksyon Demokratiko presidential bet and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said that he also plans to build a hospital that would cater to those with heart ailments, when he wins in the May elections.
Moreno notes that the centers currently serving those with cancer and heart problems are already full to the brim.
This, he said, is because getting treatment from private hospitals and clinics has become so expensive and free treatment had become so scarce.
In the case of Manila, Moreno said that the “Bagong Ospital ng Maynila” is expected to open in a few months to provide a wide range of free health services to the city residents, especially those from the 5th district. Manila has one city hospital giving free services in each of the 6 districts.
He guaranteed that the new, fully-airconditioned hospital featuring state-of-the-art facilities and equipment will be at par with private hospitals.
