3 Makati drug ‘peddlers’ nabbed for P94K shabu
ALMOST P100,00 worth of shabu was seized by authorities from 3 drug peddlers in separate buy-bust operations Tuesday in Makati City.
Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg said elements of Makati Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) arrested Russel Palermo, alias “Bakly”, 23, after he handed a plastic sachet of shabu to a police-poseur buyer in exchange for P500 marked money at around 8:45 p.m. along Kalayaan Avenue, Bgy. West Rembo.
Authorities seized from Palermo more or less 2.8 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of P19,040 and the marked money used in the drug sting operation.
Earlier at around 5:40 p.m. operatives of SDEU conducted a buy-bust operation at the corner of J. P. Rizal Avenue and B. Serrano St., Brgy. West Rembo that resulted in the arrest of Michael Neri, alias “Yuri”, 21, and Mark Arjen Orbon, 35, both residents of Makati City.
Recovered from the suspects were 6 plastic sachets containing more or less 11.10 grams of shabu worth P75,480 and the P500 marked money.
Macaraeg said recovered pieces of evidence were turned over to SPD Forensic Office for chemical analysis, while a complaint for violation of RA 9165 will be filed against the arrested suspects through inquest proceedings.
“I would like to commend Makati City Police for another job well done, makakaasa po ang ating mga kababayan sa ating nasasakupan na tuloy-tuloy ang ating mga hakbang kontra illegal na droga, hinihikayat ko din po ang ang ating mga kababayan na patuloy na magbigay ng impormasyon na aming magagamit upang mahuli ang mga aktibidad ng illegal na droga sa ating nasasakupan,” Macaraeg said.
