Human torso found in Cavite canal

SILANG, Cavite – Police are conducting an in-depth investigation into the discovery on Monday night of a human body without head, arms and legs in a canal in Bgy. Kaong, this municipality.

According to Police Captain Connie Susmerano of the Silang PNP, around 6:40 p.m. on Monday, they received a phone call from a concerned citizen regarding the discovery of a human torso in an open canal in the west bound area of the Cavite Laguna Expressway (CALAX).

The human torso, with tattoo on the left chest bearing the name “Hasmin” and a logo, was wrapped in a black garbage bag.

Officer-on-case Cpl. Jayson Santos said the body part, which skin is slightly white, could be that of a man.

Police theorized the human torso, which sustained wounds either inflicted by bullets or bladed weapon, was dumped in the place to mislead probers.

Authorities are checking the CCTV footage in the area for possible identification of the suspects.
