Historic coalition
WHEN he assumes office on June 30, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. unveils a historic coalition of the “best minds” to chart the destiny of the Filipino people.
The “best minds,” including economists and other experts from various fields of endeavor, comprise the official family or Cabinet of the 64-year-old President from Ilocos Norte.
Now popularly known as “BBM,” the highly-articulate new Chief Executive and his army of alter egos get down to work as soon as they are sworn into office at 12 noon on June 30.
Described by many as “very strong,” the incoming government of the son and namesake of late President Ferdinand E. Marcos is seen to focus on the revival of the economy.
President Marcos’ other most urgent priorities include fighting corruption, illegal drugs, profiteering, hoarding, smuggling, hunger, poverty, unemployment and homelessness.
That’s why administration supporters and even critics paid a glowing tribute to BBM for packing his official family with talented, dedicated and well-meaning men and women.
In the view of many quarters across the country, the incoming government needs the dedication, experience and expertise of his Cabinet members and other trusted lieutenants.
“Kaya nga ingat na ingat si Pangulong Marcos sa pagpili ng kanyang mga opisyal dahil sa dami at bigat ng mga kinakaharap nating mga problema,” said an avid fan of BBM.
Hopefully, the historic coalition of the country’s “best minds” would bear fruit even during the first 100 days of the Bongbong Marcos-Sara Duterte Carpio administration.
