A couple vacationing at Loch Ness captured footage of a curious anomaly in the water and the peculiar scene has been hailed by one researcher as the best potential Nessie video he has seen in decades. The intriguing sighting reportedly occurred last Monday morning when the unnamed husband and wife were visiting the iconic Scottish location. While admiring the way in which the peaceful water reflected like glass, their attention turned towards a puzzling form that disturbed the stillness. What unfolded next was a rather lengthy sighting of what appeared to be a sizeable creature that left them wondering if they had just seen the legendary Loch Ness Monster.

According to the woman, they observed something just below the surface of the water that seemed to be around 20 and 30 feet in length. Over the course of the next few minutes, she said, they watched as the aquatic anomaly swam in an unusual manner as if “it was propelling itself with something.” To their amazement, the mysterious creature surfaced a few times and revealed “lumps or humps or whatever” that the woman lamented “kept disappearing under the water.” The witness went on to insist that “was nothing else on the loch, no boats, nothing” and her husband stressed that they “were not here to look for the Loch Ness Monster, we wanted to enjoy the beautiful scenery.”

Be that as it may, not only did the couple possibly spot the famed creature, but they also managed to capture a great deal of their sighting on film. The tantalizing footage, which can be seen here, earned high praise from Gary Campbell, of the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register, who mused that “there’s been two or three really good videos in the past, but this is certainly up there with the best of them.” Calling the footage the highest quality material of that type that he’s seen since 2000, Campbell readily accepted the report as the fourth official Nessie sighting of the year.
