FIRE ROASTS 4 KIDS TO DEATH IN CEBU CITY
FOUR children, including a baby, yesterday were killed in a fire that destroyed their house in Cebu City.
Siblings Angelo Bayaton, 10; Crylle Bayaton, 6; and Christina Bayaton, 1; and Amari Zane Cabornay, 11-month-old, were trapped inside the burning house.
They were found burnt beyond recognition.
Two others suffered first-degree burns. They were identified as Gelo Cabornay, 31; and Pristine Cabornay, 30.
An investigation showed the fire broke out in the house of the victims at Sitio Upper Capaculan in Bgy. Tisa, Cebu City at 5:51 a.m. yesterday.
The blaze quickly spread and engulfed the entire house.
At least seven houses were destroyed by the fire, which was put under control after more than an hour.
An investigation is ongoing on what started the fire.
