Female college student raped, choked to death
A THIRD YEAR college student on Sunday night was found dead and floating in a river in Lingayen, Pangasinan.
The victim was a 21-year-old student of the Pangasinan State University (PSU), and a resident of Bgy. Balangobong in Lingayen town.
She was found naked from waist down, an indication she was sexually molested before she was killed, police said.
A fisherman found the victim floating on a river at Sitio San Gabriel, Bgy. Balangobong and immediately reported to the authorities his gruesome find.
Police immediately conducted a follow-up operation and arrested suspect Jessie Aquino Soriano, 32, a solar panel installer.
According to the suspect, he was drunk when he committed the crime.
“Nakainom lang ako, sinakal ko po,” the suspect told probers.
The suspect also confessed raping the victim and killing her.
