EX-AIRPORT MANAGER HELD FOR ‘SLAY’ OF GF, MAID!
POLICE on Tuesday arrested a former manager of the Davao International Airport accused of killing his live-in partner and their housemaid during a shooting incident in Davao City said to have been triggered by jealousy.
Police Regional Office 11 (PRO11) Director, Brigadier General Benjamin H. Silo Jr. said 70-year-old Frederick San Felix is now facing a double murder case in connection with the deadly shooting incident inside his residence at Block 11, Lots 37 and 38 in Susana Subdivision located in Baliok, Davao City on Tuesday morning.
The PRO11 director said members of the Davao City Police Office and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested the suspect, a former Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines Region 11 Area Manager during a hot pursuit operation.
Confiscated from the accused was a Glock caliber 40 semi-automatic pistol with a loaded magazine.
Investigation showed the suspect shot his 37-year-old live-in partner Zindy Floreindo and house helper Catherine Langgam, 25.
The shooting incident erupted after the suspect and Floriendo had a heated argument around 10 a.m. Tuesday after the latter reportedly admitted to him that she was having a sexual relationship with another man.
When the couple’s argument turned physical, Langgam reportedly tried to help Floreindo prompting the suspect to get his firearm inside his room.
He then allegedly l dshot Floreindo in sthe head killing her on the spot before chasing the 2ndvictim as she was trying to flee the scene. The 2nd victim suffered gunshot wounds in the back and in the head.
The suspect was arrested around 11:15 a.m. of the same day, said Brig. Gen. Silo.
Recovered by investigators at the place of the shooting were three spent cal. 40 cartridges. The suspect and his live-in partner have two young children, according to reports.
