2 top drug targets in Metro Manila arrested
TWO top drug trafficking suspects were arrested by agents of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group in separate buy-bust operations in Pandacan, Manila.
PDEG director, Brigadier General Eleazar P. Matta identified the first suspect as John Mark delos Santos alias ‘Abu,’ 23, tagged as ‘high-value individual’ in Metro Manila, was arrested by PDEG Special Operations Unit-National Capital Region operatives in a sting at No. 2609 K Jesus Street in Pandacan, Manila last Wednesday.
Recovered from the first suspect were 100 grams of shabu worth P680,000.
The second suspect identified as Jhon Edmar dela Cruz, 27, was arrested in an anti-narcotics operation in Pandacan area last Tuesday.
PDEG-NCR agents recovered several plastic packets containing 20 grams of shabu valued at P136,000 from the suspect.
Brig. Gen. Matta said the suspects were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 for sale and possession of prohibited drugs.
