SPEAKER Ferdinand Martin Romualdez honored and recalled all the lessons his late father the late Kokoy Romualdez taught him as he joined Filipinos in celebrating the Father’s Day.

In his message, Romualdez asked Filipinos to also take a moment to remember and honor the fathers who are no longer with us.

“Today, let’s also take a moment to remember and honor the fathers who are no longer with us. Their love and guidance continue to shape our lives and inspire us to be the best versions of ourselves,” Romualdez said.

“I am deeply grateful for the invaluable lessons my own father taught me and the strength he showed in times of adversity. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled in me, and I strive to pass those same values on to my children,” he added.

Father’s Day is being commemorated every third Sunday of June.

Romualdez extended his heartfelt greetings to all the amazing fathers, grandfathers, and father figures throughout our nation. “Today is a special day to honor and appreciate the incredible love, sacrifice, and dedication you show every day,” he said.

“Being a father myself, I understand the joys and challenges that come with this role. It’s not always easy, but the smiles, the laughter, and the moments of pride make it all worthwhile,” the House leader added.

He also said “to all fathers out there, thank you for your boundless love and unwavering commitment. You are the pillars of strength in your families and in our communities. May you be celebrated not just today, but every day, for all that you do.”
