Missing Cessna found in Isabela; 6 passengers dead
ALL the people on board the Cessna plane 206 that went missing in the mountainous Isabela province in January died, authorities said Thursday, as they announced the discovery of the aircraft’s wreckage after more than a month of searching.
The report was confirmed by the Philippine Aeronautical Rescue Coordinating Center.
The report said the wreckage of the Cessna 206 aircraft was found at 11:36 a.m. by a composite team in Barangay Ditarum, Divilacan, Isabela.
The Incident Management Team in the area said all six victims will be retrieved but it may take some time to bring them to a safe area due to the weather condition.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines’ Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board that has been organized since the disappearance of the aircraft will proceed with its investigation.
