PALAYAN CITY – A retired Philippine Army sergeant and another man tagged as the 2 top most wanted persons in Nueva Ecija were collared following separate intensified manhunt operations conducted on Monday.

In his report to Col. Jess B. Mendez, acting provincial police chief and city police head Lt. Col. Renato C. Morales identified the arrested retired Army officer as Staff Sergeant Ramil Pardua, 56, of Bgy. Militar.

Morales said his men arrested the suspect on the strength of an arrest warrant for kidnapping and failure to return a minor with no bail recommended.

He said the suspect was ranked number two in the most wanted persons list in the provincial and city level.

“2011 pa po ang kaso ng suspect. Kinupkop niya yung relative niya na ayaw ng magulang kaya inihabla siya. Sa pagkakaalam ko po, lalaki ang biktima,” Morales told Journal Group.

In the other manhunt operation conducted in Talavera, acting town police head Lt. Col. Jackyll I. Bilibli said his men nabbed suspect Alberto Reyes, 40, of Bgy. Minabuyok, Talavera, is listed as the most wanted person in the provincial level.

Bilibli said the suspect’s arrest was carried out by virtue of an arrest warrant for frustrated murder with a recommended bail of P200,000.00.

Mendez said the NEPPO will continue to fight criminality and go after wanted criminals in the province.

“We will never get tired of chasing these wanted persons who are hiding from authorities in line with the directives of Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Matthew P. Baccay against MWPs in Central Luzon,” he said.
