Housemaid1DIRECTOR Roman Perez is one of the busiest directors at Viva now. His sexy action-thriller, “Taya”, starring AJ Raval and Sean de Guzman has yet to start streaming on Vivamax on August 27, but he has another new movie that is also about to be shown, the erotic-thriller

“The Housemaid”, to start streaming on September 10 also on Vivamax. And aside from these films, he is also doing a comedy entitled ‘Housetour’.

“I’m just happy na kahit pandemic, nagkaroon ako ng active career,” he says.

How is it handling his stars in “Taya” who are very new?

“I’m lucky I didn’t have any problems with them kasi very cooperative sila,” he says. “Sina AJ and Sean, maganda ang teamwork nila. Sa ngayon, working relationship pa lang sila, but I won’t be surprised if in the future, magiging sila talaga. Kasi kahit walang kamera, nakikita ko silang nagkukulitan at masaya sila sa isa’t isa. Iba kasi ang chemistry nila, on screen and off screen.”

Both AJ and Sean have nude scenes in the movie. “Hindi madali maghubad basta-basta, so very important kung sino ‘yung kapareha mo.

Comfortable ka ba sa kanya? In their case, gamay na gamay nila agad ang isa’t isa and they have no inhibitions.

Direk Roman says “Taya” is based on his own true-to-life experience since he himself played online betting. “Nakakaadik tumaya kaya you can understand Sean’s character nang naadik siya sa online betting, lalo pa nga’t ang premyo sa game nila is a beautiful woman na gagawin ang lahat para paligayahin siya.”

His other movie, “The Housemaid”, is based on a Korean film. How different is it from the original? And I’m very proud sa buong cast kasi ang gagaling nila lahat.”

Kylie Versoza plays the title role of the housemaid who works for a wealthy man, Albert Martinez, and his wife, Louise de los Reyes, and their little daughter. Also in the cast are Alma Moreno as Louise’s mom and Jaclyn Jose as the mayordoma who knows everyone’s secrets.

“I think kami ‘yung pinaka-unang nag-shoot na movie after ng first lockdown, so we have to made lots of adjustment. I’m very proud kasi we were able to meet all the challenges of shooting in the pandemic, kasi bawal magkamali, bawal mag-take 2. Si Kylie is launched in this and I must say nagawa niya lahat ng requirements sa movie. Salamat sa naging pagtitiwala niya sa akin sa delicate scenes.”
