Crime suspect shot dead at ‘tapsilogan’

A MAN with a pending criminal case was shot and killed by a gunman inside a ‘tapsilogan’, midnight Tuesday in Caloocan City.

Caloocan police chief P/Col. Samuel Mina said Marcial Lotino alias “Sniper”, of legal age, and resident of Vicente Ferrer St., Brgy. 178 Camarin died on the spot from bullet wounds in the head while the still unidentified suspect escaped on foot.

The incident, according to Ashley Espinosa, 30, service crew of MJ Tapsilogan located at North Elementary Road, Phase 7, Brgy. 178 happened at around 12 midnight inside the said establishment.

Lotino was waiting for his order when the suspect appeared and shot him twice in the head.

Caloocan Police North Extension Office (NEO) homicide investigator P/SSgt. Michael Formento learned that the victim was previously arrested and charged in court for acts of lasciviousness but was later release from jail after posting bail.

Police investigators are requesting for the footage taken by a close circuit television (CCTV) camera installed inside the establishment for possible identification and arrest of the suspect while the motive behind the killing is yet to be established.
